A day in the life of Abel Olaechea
Erza Mehmeti: How long have you been with KYBURZ?
Abel Olaechea: I have been with KYBURZ for a good 15 years.
Erza: What are your activities?
Abel: My activities are everywhere that has to do with electronics. After years of working in development, in the field of electronics and batteries, I have been working in service as a project manager since January, where I am responsible not only for internal service projects, but also for training, technical documentation, in-house troubleshooting and 3rd level support for domestic and foreign service partners.
Erza: What is your typical daily routine?
Abel: First thing in the morning I check my emails. The rest of the day varies greatly from day to day. If a problem arises, I have to react as quickly as possible. If there are no urgent problems, I work on my projects.
Erza: What do you like? What not so much?
Abel: I really like being able to work with products that are the future of mobility. I also appreciate the flexibility of the working hours.
What I like less is the lack of communication in the company.
Erza: What do you like to do in your free time?
Abel: In my free time I spend a lot of time with my girlfriend and my son. I like hiking and watching football, sometimes live in the stadium.
As often as time allows, I travel around Switzerland and the world and get to know new places.
