Photo of the week: Motivated employees in front of the new building

Inspiring CE Symposium 2025
The 4th Circular Economy Symposium took place this year in the new KYBURZ building. The building, with its canteen that can be transformed into a great event venue in just a few simple steps, provided the ideal setting.
100 registered guests, 6 speakers, 8 workshops and a fantastic moderator combined to make this year's Circular Economy Symposium a fascinating day full of impressions.
In their presentations, the speakers from the worlds of science, politics and society considered the topics of ‘Energy. Climate. Responsibility.’ from their own perspectives. Surprisingly, they all agreed that today's technology offers many opportunities to reduce global warming and CO2 emissions. Getting society at large to also understand this is the next challenge!
The individual presentations will be featured in the HausZeitung over the coming weeks.

Well-attended open day
For the first time since moving in April, KYBURZ ‘officially’ opened its doors to the public as part of its open day.
The excitement among employees was already high in the week leading up to the event. The new location offers new opportunities for this event, but also organisational challenges. The aim is for guests to feel comfortable and get an impression of what everyday life is like for KYBURZ employees in production, service, sales and administration. Of course, interested parties and customers are also welcome at KYBURZ outside of an open day.
Well over 1,000 visitors took the opportunity to tour the building and learn about KYBURZ's products, processes and services. The employees at the barbecue, the drinks counter, the ice cream van and the Thai curry stand had their hands full.
The offer to explore the new – and spacious – building in a KYBURZ vehicle was so popular that there were waiting times. The presentations and guided tours on offer attracted a large and interested audience.
Former neighbours from Freienstein visited KYBURZ, as did new neighbours from Embrach.
There were countless encounters with suppliers, service providers and customers. Martin Kyburz and the KYBURZ employees were particularly delighted to see old acquaintances. One customer, who has been driving a KYBURZ vehicle for 28 years, surprised everyone.
A photo gallery of the open day will be linked in the next issue of the company newsletter.

Great commitment to challenge projects
Fifteen teams launched a project to transform a 2ndLife Kyburz delivery vehicle into a new vehicle. Technical improvements and additions, imaginative conversions and innovative implementations impressed the audience. A jury and visitors to the symposium evaluated the work.
The exhibition of the projects was impressive. The award ceremony at the end of the symposium produced beaming winners.

CE-Challenge: 1st place
The ‘Kurzschluss Camper’ team wins the Circular Economy Challenge 2025. ‘Our boss needs a holiday and we need some peace and quiet – that's why we're building him a camper van.’ The project description says it all. The team is familiar with KYBURZ delivery vehicles. The employees of Moto Strahm in Madiswil are KYBURZ service partners. The conversion into a complete camping vehicle shows a lot of imagination and perseverance in its implementation! Eric Walther and Iwan Mathys accepted the main prize of CHF 3,000 on behalf of the team.

CE-Challenge: 2nd place
The second prize (CHF 2,000) goes to the ‘Piaggio APE DXP’ project. Marco Dähler had already equipped his Piaggio APE 50 with a pizza oven some time ago. For the challenge, he replaced the noisy and weak combustion engine with a KYBURZ DXP drive. Martin Kyburz was delighted with the result. The three-wheeled Italian transporter and the Swiss three-wheeled delivery vehicle have a lot in common.

CE-Challenge: 3rd place
Jury member Erik Wilhelm emphasised the beautiful workmanship and excellent presentation when presenting the third prize (CHF 1,000) to the ‘Bächli’ team for their tool mobile. The mobile workshop, which features a power connection, work surface, vice and lighting, is ‘almost ready for sale’.
