It was a successful week at the trade fair. As in Amsterdam, the DXP with solar roof and 230 V socket was used to power the coffee machine for demonstration purposes at transport.ch in Bern. KYBURZ was there from the start at the 9th ‘System Alpenluft’ symposium. KYBURZ vehicles were also well represented in Konstanz at the building yard managers' conference.

Video of the week: Urban parcel delivery of the future
Plattform J (Jungfrau Zeitung) has produced an impressive video about the parcel delivery of tomorrow, which is currently being trialled in Zurich by Planzer Paket using KYBURZ vehicles. Read the full article!
Notable exhibition stand in Bern
Surrounded by large trucks and stands belonging to influential interest groups, the KYBURZ stand in Bern attracted a great deal of interest. The ‘transport.ch’ trade fair is all about the transport industry and logistics. KYBURZ couldn't miss it!
The DXC 3.0 was on display in Bern with two superstructures. The 1.3 m3 cargo box attracted a lot of attention. The professional bridge superstructure from the renowned company Zbinden also caught the eye. There was a lot of discussion around the two vehicles and the KYBURZ employees were able to make some interesting contacts.
Many decision-makers from transport companies visited the trade fair on the first few days. On Saturday, many drivers marvelled at the trucks on display. KYBURZ would like to thank the employees who answered all visitors' questions in German and French.
The DXP with solar roof and 230 V socket
USB ports and 12 V sockets have been available in vehicles for a long time. The DXP can now be ordered with a 230 V socket on request. The connection delivers 3000 W nominal power and even 6000 W power for short periods. This is perfectly adequate for operating devices such as drills, electric hedge trimmers or floodlights. The DXP thus becomes a power source for work wherever there is no mains electricity available.
At the Parcel+PostExpo trade fair and currently at transport.ch in Bern, the socket is used to power the coffee machine in the front cabriobox for demonstration purposes. The vehicle is not connected to the mains electricity supply. A built-in inverter converts the direct current for the socket into alternating current.
The solar cell on the vehicle roof is also clearly visible. The solar module feeds the vehicle battery. Once this is fully charged, the electricity is fed into the grid. When the vehicle is at home and connected to the grid, a switch can be used to determine whether it is charged from the grid or only from the solar roof.
Workshop & Waste Disposal 2030
How will workshops operate in 2030? What tools will be used in the future? Which organisational structure promises good results? Workshop employees and managers from all over German-speaking Switzerland drew inspiration from the ‘future guides’ of various companies.
The symposium was organised by ‘System Alpenluft’ as a scavenger hunt. At the KYBURZ station, the focus was on material recycling, battery recycling and 2ndLife vehicles. A task had to be solved using KYBURZ vehicles. There was no shortage of fun driving around the extensive company premises of Schwendimann AG.
The 9th symposium in Münchenbuchsee was the last of the second season. For the first time, Novaziun was also there with its electric single-axle vehicle. KYBURZ has been involved from the start and already has ideas for the next edition.
Building yard managers' conference in Konstanz
The two B2B sales representatives, Dominik von Arb and Daniel Meier, took part in the building yard managers' meeting last week, organised by the technical services department of the city of Konstanz. Around 30 building yard managers from various German municipalities were in attendance, and enthusiasm was high as usual.
One of the main items on the agenda during the event was the introduction and presentation of KYBURZ Switzerland AG and its products, including test drives. TBK (city cleaning) already uses KYBURZ vehicles as individual and low-impact workstations to enable efficient and low-emission work processes.
The regulation that no driving licence is required in Germany for speeds of 15 km/h or less was particularly positively highlighted. This opens up new opportunities for people without a driving licence to carry out their work independently.
Externer Teamevent bei KYBURZ
For once, red jumpers instead of blue ones are sitting in the KYBURZ Switzerland AG canteen.
They belong to the employees of Galliker Transport AG from Pfungen. Sales consultant Dominique Hösli explains: "The idea to visit KYBURZ Switzerland AG came about because our drivers wanted to plan a team event again. I knew that you had a beautiful new building with lots of space. So I came up with the idea of combining this with a tour of your company. Our drivers got an exciting insight into your production and were allowed to test drive the electric vehicles. Afterwards, we checked the snow chains on our trucks in Pfungen and explained how to fit them safely. I received a lot of positive feedback about the tour and the test drive. Many thanks to everyone!"
KYBURZ would also like to thank you for your visit and looks forward to continuing our great collaboration.
New employee at KYBURZ in Australia: Rolf Huber
Rolf Huber is now responsible for marketing and sales at the Australian KYBURZ subsidiary. As president of the Swiss Festival in Melbourne, he has an extensive network of contacts.
Born in St. Gallen, he emigrated to Australia around 30 years ago in search of adventure and love. Working for Swissair at the time, he visited travel agencies in southern Australia and convinced them to sell Swissair flight tickets, which were still paper-based at the time. He later worked as a sales manager for Austrian Airlines and South African Airways. For the past eleven years, Rolf has worked in a travel agency specialising in exclusive wildlife safaris in Africa.
For Rolf, travelling is not just work – it is also his passion. He is drawn to nature: to the Amazon rainforest, to the polar bears in the Arctic, on safaris in Africa or in the Australian bush. Welcome to KYBURZ!
