Direct battery recycling has been developed by KYBURZ over many years. The staff in the department led by Olivier Groux are continuing the research, consultancy and implementation as an independent company. DIREC Recycling GmbH is perfecting the process, which enables over 90 per cent of the raw materials to be recovered from lithium batteries. The upscaling and implementation of direct recycling is an effective contribution to the circular economy.
