A day in the life of Jad Hafez
Erza Mehmeti: How long have you been with KYBURZ?
Jad Hafez: I have been with KYBURZ for more than 8 years.
Erza: How did you hear about us?
Jad: Someone from my family recommended KYBURZ to me. At that time the workshop was being enlarged and I helped with that and a month later a job as an electronics technician became available and I took it. I really liked the concept of electric mobility.
Erza: What did you do before KYBURZ?
Jad: I lived in Dubai for two and a half years to gain new experiences and worked as a salesperson.
Erza: What are your activities?
Jad: I take care of the service centre in Western Switzerland. I am responsible for the whole process here in the workshop and basically take care of all our private customers.
Erza: What are your strengths?
Jad: I think flexibility is very important to provide the whole of western Switzerland with what they need and to keep the workshop in good shape.
Erza: What motivates you?
Jad: When the customer is satisfied with the service I provide, this makes me happy.
Erza: What is your typical daily routine?
Jad: I usually come in at 8am and read my emails. Then I make the appointments for the next days and work on the open cases from previous days. Many repairs are done by me on site. This means that the customer's vehicle is ready for use again in the shortest possible time. This saves a lot of time for me and the company, because I don't have to drive back and forth several times.
Erza: What do you like? What rather less?
Jad: What I like is that it is never boring, because every day is different. And what I like less is having to work outside in the cold in winter.
Erza: What do you like to do in your free time?
Jad: I do a lot of sports in general. I love diving, freediving and scuba diving. I also play football regularly with colleagues and I am also a football referee for the fourth division. Besides sports, I like to ride my motorbike and take care of my two children, who always keep me on my toes.
Erza: What are your plans for the future?
Jad: In January, I will do my last day of military service and my wish after that would be to strengthen my electronics skills and do further training.
