A day in the life of Tobias Wunderli
Erza Mehmeti: How long have you been with KYBURZ?
Tobias Wunderli: This is my sixth year at KYBURZ.
Erza: How did you hear about us?
Tobias: I became aware of the company through Martin Kiener, a good friend who also used to work here. He recommended me to Peter Glanzmann and Martin Kyburz and I was hired.
Erza: What did you do before KYBURZ?
Tobias: Before KYBURZ I worked in sales in the fitness industry.
Erza: What are your activities?
Tobias: I am a mobility consultant for seniors and private individuals and also for very small companies. My area is from Ticino to Bern with Basel-Land and Basel-Stadt.
Erza: What are your strengths?
Tobias: I would say my strengths lie in sales and in dealing pleasantly with senior citizens. I also have the patience for all the driving.
Erza: What is your typical daily routine?
Tobias: I get up at 4.30 a.m. and then go to the gym 4 to 6 times a week. After that I go home, take a shower, have a coffee and then go to work. My appointments for the day are already set: Either for test drives with customers or by delivering the vehicles.
Erza: What do you like? What rather less?
Tobias: I particularly like the interaction with the customers and also with my work colleagues. What I also like is the freedom and being able to organise my appointments independently. Getting to know beautiful places during test drives and inspiring my customers on site for our product.
What I like less, but that has nothing to do with the company, are the winter days when it is cold and dark.
Erza: What do you like to do in your free time?
Tobias: My hobbies include, as already mentioned, fitness and also hiking. I love spending time with my family and friends and cooking. Of course, I also like to travel to the sea and enjoy the warmth there. I also like swimming in the sea and in the lake.
Erza: Where do you like to go hiking?
Tobias: Since I live in Pfäffikon SZ on Lake Zurich, I go hiking a lot here in our region. I live here in the middle of a recreational area with lots of beautiful opportunities.
Erza: What are your plans for the future?
Tobias: I can work for another 11 years and I would like to spend this time with KYBURZ. After that, the plan is to spend my retirement in Thailand.
