On 31 March, the Fleet project at Zurich Airport was completed on schedule. Flughafen Zürich AG has equipped 34 special vehicles with KYBURZ Fleet for winter and cleaning services. These vehicles are equipped with snow ploughs, de-icing sprayers, brushes, vacuums or steamers for weed control to carry out their special jobs.

What makes our Fleet special is its ability to record operating times, areas worked and de-icing agents used per airport zone. This information is used both to prove the work carried out and to optimise operations.

To improve coordination between drivers, a real-time lane display was developed for the drivers. This enables drivers to track the lanes of their own and other vehicles in use with effective working width on a special airport map in the Fleet Portal. Thanks to this overview, multiple tillage and the reworking of forgotten areas can be reliably avoided.
