The task team of the IEA PVPS programme visited KYBURZ
The IEA PVPS programme (International Energy Agency Photovoltaic Power Systems) focuses on strengthening international cooperation so that photovoltaics can play a central role in the transition to sustainable energy systems.
The Swiss-Japanese Team Task 17 from this programme aims to demonstrate how photovoltaics can make transport more sustainable in the following three areas:
- For vehicles: PV can be integrated into cars, commercial vehicles and other vehicles
- For infrastructure: PV can power charging stations, battery systems and energy management
- Charging options:
- - Charging via the electricity grid with PV-supported electricity
- - Local PV directly at the charging point
As part of a project trip, the members of this task team visited KYBURZ Switzerland AG. Urs Muntwyler and Eva Schüpbach from Dr. Schüpbach & Muntwyler GmbH in Bern and Task 17 Manager Keiichi Komoto from Japan.
KYBURZ is also increasingly focusing on photovoltaic technology in its development and would like to express its gratitude for this exciting exchange on the topic of ‘sustainable energy’.
