China continues to set the global standard in LFP battery technology. The industry there has a fully integrated value chain, from raw material processing to cell and module production. This structure enables stable supply chains, high quality standards and continuous innovation that sets the global benchmark.

In order to make the most of this technological advantage for KYBURZ, we have maintained a close relationship with our most important cell supplier, CATL, for many years. In November 2025, Stefan Breu and Olivier Groux travelled to Ningde to intensify direct exchanges, gain technological insights and deepen joint projects.

For a Swiss SME, access to a global market leader such as CATL is not a matter of course. Personal meetings and regular exchanges are crucial for building trust, understanding developments at an early stage and ensuring that KYBURZ can continue to benefit from the latest advances in LFP technology in the future.

Despite the busy technical programme, there was also time for small culinary adventures. On business trips to China, it is part of the experience to push boundaries not only technologically, but sometimes also in terms of taste. This year, among other things, sea cucumber was on the menu, visually challenging, but in terms of taste... let's just say: an experience to remember.
