August 1 in Embrach: Trust as the Foundation for the Future
On this year’s National Day, Dr. Stefan Breu, CEO of KYBURZ, had the honor of delivering the August 1 speech in Embrach. The invitation was a special sign of trust for him after all, KYBURZ has had its headquarters in Embrach for just over a year.
In his speech, Stefan Breu drew a parallel between Embrach’s history and the development of KYBURZ. Centuries ago, Embrach’s potters used clay from the region to create successful products. Today, KYBURZ uses steel, electronics, and a great deal of technical expertise to build electric vehicles that are in use not only in Switzerland but around the world.
The materials have changed, but the basic idea has remained the same: recognizing opportunities, creating something useful, and improving together.
Stefan Breu particularly emphasized the importance of people. He noted that a company does not choose a location based solely on buildings, transportation routes, or general conditions what matters most are the people, their skills, their attitude, and their commitment. KYBURZ was warmly welcomed in Embrach from the very beginning. He expressed his gratitude to the community and its residents for this.
Another key theme of his speech was community spirit. Clubs, the fire department, and numerous volunteers play a vital role in ensuring that a community functions smoothly. The same is true in a company: what matters most are those people who are willing to take on responsibility and go above and beyond simply fulfilling their duties.
For KYBURZ, August 1 was therefore not only a special holiday but also a wonderful opportunity to express his connection to the new Embrach location and its people.
