The Australia DXP 21, Successor to the Current DXP 20

We are pleased to present the new DXP 21 with optimizations leading to an increased top speed, a much faster acceleration as well as an extended range. We are also implementing new features to increase the robustness of the vehicle on rough roads and tracks.

To improve the vehicle’s performance, we integrated a larger motor with enough power to accelerate the vehicle significantly faster to the new top speed of 50 km/h. To counter the negative effect of the higher performance motor on the range of the vehicle, we use a larger battery. In addition, we optimized the motor control parameterization. These two measures led to an increased range of 24%.

To improve the behaviour of the vehicle on rough tracks and uneven roads, we are optimizing the front and rear suspension systems. An improved version – the KYBRUZ DXP Rough Road or "DXP RR" – will be available from 2022.

The KYBURZ telematics solutions are the best worldwide for postal vehicle fleets and complement the KYBURZ DXP perfectly.

The higher top speed of 50 km/h was achieved by choosing a significantly more powerful electric motor.
This video shows the measurement in our test facility, which simulates a slight incline of about 5 %.
Result: the DXP 21 needs much less time to reach the new top speed of 50 km/h. This increased speed was verified in exhaustive field tests.

24 % More Range

Although the new DXP 21 vehicle is equipped with a more powerful motor, the range in urban stop-and-go operation has been significantly increased by up to 24 %.

Groundbreaking Battery Recycling Process and Facility

KYBURZ has developed a groundbreaking new approach to recycling LI batteries. The new system is already in use in Switzerland. We are happy to pass on our know-how to partners in Australia.

The process makes it possible to extract over 90% of the materials that make up the battery as high-quality raw materials. These are more or less all the solid parts of a battery cell. Only the liquid electrolyte is no longer reprocessed.

Rough Road Capability

We have developed enhanced rough road capabilities on a new prototype: the DXP RR. RR stads for "rough road".

To make this model perform even better on uneven roads, the front and rear suspension have been completely redesigned and optimized. The result is an improved vehicle stability when driving on rough roads and thus a safer ride on these roads.
