Curdin Brugger und der eRod von Hotel Künzli

Mountains under tension: Hotel Krüzli in Sedrun lets guests drive eRod

"Curdin Brugger, the host of the Hotel Krüzli in Sedrun, rents out his KYBURZ eRod for trips in the alpine Bündner Oberland.

Curdin Brugger is the fourth generation to run the Hotel Krüzli in Sedrun. The bright, modern restaurant always has a cheerful crowd of locals and tourists. Day guests feel just as at home on the terrace as motorcyclists who spend the night in the house after a pass ride.

Curdin Brugger: "People talk about it, they think the eRod is cool, especially because it's electronic!"

An exclusive offer
"With the eRod we have an offer that no other hotel has," says Curdin Brugger. As president of the local tourism organization, the restaurateur was able to take a test drive: "I was licking blood!

Curdin Brugger assembled the eRod himself at KYBURZ in Freienstein together with his brother Severin, a trained mechanic who also works in the hotel today. "We had a lot of fun doing it. For us it was like an adventure holiday and a nice exchange developed! "People come to our hotel for a weekend and immediately book a ride with the eRod", says the host.

At the starting point in Sedrun, trips over the Oberalp Pass to Andermatt and up to the Gotthard Pass are possible. The electric car also manages the return trip without recharging. If you prefer a little less attention, you can drive to the Lukmanierpass or to one of the quiet side valleys of the Surselva on a Maiensäss.

Driving where the power comes from
Curdin Brugger and his Hotel Krüzli have the attention on sure: "People talk about it, they find the eRod cool, especially because it is electric! This is a good match for the water- and power station-rich area around the source of the Rhine at the Oberalp Pass.

It also happens regularly that after an eRod trip, guests enthusiastically buy a voucher for friends on their departure, because "it's really an experience". This is also confirmed by Marc Piacentini and Pascal Berther. Brugger offers the couple from Sedrun a ride.

On clearly arranged routes, there is plenty of "throttle" and the hairpin bends offer the opportunity to experience the acceleration anew every time. Piacentini's comment: "A ride on the eRod is really fun!
