A day in the life of Laurence Nève
Erza Mehmeti: How long have you been with KYBURZ?
Laurence Nève: I have been with KYBURZ since July 2017.
Erza: What are your responsibilities?
Laurence: I work in the eRod team doing sales, marketing and administration. I do everything related to the eRod except the technical work. I also work for Fleet and do sales there as well. I also do the translations into French for the house magazine or for occasional requests from marketing or sales.
Erza: What is your typical daily routine?
Laurence: First I check with Tino if everything is ok or if he might need support for admin or purchasing. Then I look at my emails and process them. It may also be that I'm on site visits or doing test drives with customers. At Fleet, I contact companies in Western Switzerland and present our Fleet system. I post once or twice a week on our social media accounts about the eRod.
Erza: What do you like? What not so much?
Laurence: I like the atmosphere and communication in the eRod team and the company in general.
What I like less, as everyone says, are the 3 locations. I miss the contact with colleagues on Tannenstrasse or in Freienstein. Like the open day, company outings or the «Kistenrede» that couldn't take place because of Corona.
Erza: What do you like to do in your free time?
Laurence: In my free time I need projects where I have to work with my hands. Like for example I like to potter or paint or do gardening or renovate furniture. My husband and I also like to drive vintage cars and go on tours where we go to visit our friends, for example. I also drive my Classic Mini to work every day. We also like to drive classic cars in the south of France, where we have a holiday home. I got my motorboat licence 4 years ago, so I also go boating during the holidays in France.
Erza: Can you tell me more about pottery? Did you make pottery for yourself privately or do you sell your products?
Laurence: I used to give pottery classes. I didn't sell the finished products, but gave them away when I could. Since we moved a year ago, I stopped doing that. I am looking for pottery classes in the area, who can give me information?
