A day in the life of Behar Ahmeti
Erza Mehmeti: How long have you been with KYBURZ?
Behar Ahmeti: I have been working at KYBURZ for 3 years now.
Erza: How did you hear about us?
Behar: I became aware of KYBURZ through a good friend. The first impression convinced me very much. Now it has been 3 years and I still enjoy my work very much.
Erza: What did you do before KYBURZ?
Behar: Before KYBURZ I worked at the airport in a real estate company cleaning machines. I worked there for 10 years.
Erza: What are your activities?
Behar: At KYBURZ I work in production. I work in pre-assembly and prepare different parts for the production line, as well as for other departments. The jobs are very varied, which also makes everyday life exciting. At the moment, however, I am responsible for the pre-assembly of the batteries. I unpack the batteries, assemble the corresponding parts and when they are ready, I connect them to the charging station. The batteries are fully charged so that they can then be installed in the vehicles.
Erza: What does a typical day look like for you?
Behar: In the morning, I always arrive at about 7 a.m.. Before I start work, I discuss with Isuf, Fadil or René the jobs that are planned for the day and then start my work. When I have finished a job, I tidy up the workplace and the tools and prepare everything for the next job. At noon, we usually stay in the company and have lunch together. Before I finish my working day, I tidy up my workplace so that it is ready for the next day.
Erza: What do you like about your job, and what do you dislike?
Behar: I really enjoy my job. The work is very varied because you always have different assignments. I also like the working atmosphere in the team very much. The environment and my work motivate me a lot.
Erza: What do you like to do in your free time?
Behar: In my free time, I like to go for walks with my wife and enjoy nature. I also often go swimming. Unfortunately, however, the Corona period has restricted us quite a bit.
Erza: What are your plans for the future?
Behar: It's hard to say because I will retire in 3 years. Since my family and children all live here in Switzerland, it is also not yet certain whether I will go back to Kosovo or stay here in Switzerland.
