A day in the life of Oliver Matthews
Erza Mehmeti: How long have you been with KYBURZ?
Oliver Matthews: I have been with Kyburz since February 2021.
Erza: How did you hear about us?
Oliver: Through my father-in-law, who had a locksmith's shop opposite on Tannenstrasse and when I was looking for a new challenge, he told me to ask Kyburz.
Erza: What did you do before Kyburz?
Oliver: Before that I worked in the aviation industry for 20 years.
Erza: What are your activities?
Oliver: I'm at home at the ELCC and I'm on the road in many different ways. This includes support and training for the service partners. Contact point for internal production in case of problems, support of production in cable productions, examination of returned material, system testing of new developments as well as support of the Curtis software.
Erza: What motivates you?
Oliver: Successfully solving a problem and having a satisfied customer.
Erza: What is your typical daily routine?
Oliver: In the morning I go through my email and check if there is anything urgent, then I go about my planned tasks for the day.
Erza: What do you like? What do you like less?
Oliver: I really like the variety of work and the atmosphere here. There is actually nothing I don't like. It also makes me a bit proud to work in a company that shapes the Swiss everyday image.
Erza: What do you like to do in your free time?
Oliver: There are many things, tending the vegetable garden, cooking on the fire, riding motorbikes, wrenching on old vehicles. Hiking and spending time outdoors.
