A day in the life of Carmen Krauer
Erza Mehmeti: How long have you been with KYBURZ now?
Carmen Krauer: For exactly 15 years. My first day at work was on 2 August 2007.
Erza: What were your activities?
Carmen: I completed my commercial apprenticeship here and was able to work in many areas. In the last few years, I was responsible for the dispatching of the first 1000 postal vehicles, for organising service partner training and for writing the technical information. But I have also replaced BMS prints on site at customers' premises during a retrofit campaign, participated in trade fairs, was in charge of service administration and worked for three months in Australia at KYBURZ PTY in the accounting department. Two years ago, I moved to inside sales and, in addition to managing, I worked operationally in order processing and did test drives and consultations with walk-in customers.
Erza: What is your favourite memory you take away from the past years at KYBURZ?
Carmen: There are so many! The best thing is that the sense of humour has never been lost and the old guard has always been very cohesive.
Erza: What do you take away from KYBURZ for your future?
Carmen: I learned that everything happens for a reason. Sometimes you understand it a little earlier and sometimes you understand it a little later. The most important thing I take with me are the friendships that have developed over the years.
Erza: Which KYBURZ event has stayed with you the most?
Carmen: The open day and all the events with the eRod.
Erza: What do you like to do in your spare time?
Carmen: I love spending time with my boyfriend, my cat, friends and family. On weekends I often go to the mountains. I also like to challenge my fear of heights with via ferrata or occasionally model fly or enjoy discovering new places while travelling.
Erza: What are your plans for the future?
Carmen: I have decided to leave KYBURZ at the beginning of September to start a new chapter. I will take two months off and then I will be ready for a new challenge. Where and how that will be is still written in the stars.
