A day in the life of Lisa Ruppmann
Erza Mehmeti: How long have you been with KYBURZ?
Lisa Ruppmann: I have been working at KYBURZ since 01.06.2013 - just over nine years.
Erza: How did you hear about us?
Lisa: My "predecessor", Yasmine Steinemann, recommended that I apply. She was only here for a very short time. Before that we worked together at RR Donnelley in data entry.
Erza: What did you do before KYBURZ?
Lisa: After secondary school I did a lot of different jobs. Besides partial training as a midwife and seasonal work in horticulture, I worked for 5 years in the café "Kafisatz" in Winterthur. After finishing my part-time business school, I switched to the office.
Erza: What are your activities?
Lisa: As Flurin's assistant, I look after various projects and help out wherever I am needed. In addition to supervising the further development of the WebDesk, I help out with the telephone service, take care of the invoices from service partners abroad or provide support for the team. I am also happy to help organise and conduct service partner trainings such as the annual partner refresher. In addition, I serve as a mouthpiece for the service partners for the further development and improvement of the cooperation between KYBURZ and the service partners.
Erza: What are your strengths?
Lisa: I am definitely characterised by my precise way of working. I have a talent for recognising discrepancies and wanting to correct them. In addition, due to my many years of experience at KYBURZ, I know the needs and working methods of our service partners very well, which is an advantage when developing the WebDesk.
Erza: What is your typical daily routine?
Lisa: I start between 7.30 and 8.00 am. First I check my mails and do urgent tasks. Then I follow up on my pending tasks. Most of the time, the day develops quite differently than planned, which means it's never boring. I finish my work at the office around 5 pm.
Erza: What do you like? What not so much?
Lisa: I like the variety and I like acting as a troubleshooter for administrative issues. I especially like working with the service partners. I appreciate the flexibility in daily planning. In addition, KYBURZ made it possible for me to obtain my EFZ as a businesswoman, for which I am very grateful. Unfortunately, our team has been torn apart somewhat by the support of other departments, which I think is a bit of a shame for us.
Erza: What do you like to do in your free time?
Lisa: I do yoga regularly and like to go hiking or do something in nature. I enjoy cosy evenings with my boyfriend or take advantage of private salsa lessons. I also enjoy spending time with friends and family over dinner or game nights. I love to travel to other countries as well as to discover places in Switzerland - in doing so, I sit down on every "Gireizli" and leave no animal unphotographed.
Erza: What are your plans for the future?
Lisa: I don't have any big plans, I'm taking it easy. My goal is to take some time off at some point to travel to Central and South America.
