A day in the life of Arthur Bäuerle
Erza Mehmeti: How long have you been with KYBURZ?
Arthur Bäuerle: I have been working at KYBURZ for 7 years.
Erza: How did you hear about us?
Arthur: René Stoll is a long-time friend of mine. I asked him if there was a vacancy at KYBURZ and was hired through him.
Erza: What did you do before KYBURZ?
Arthur: I was self-employed in electrical engineering, controls and machine maintenance for over 25 years.
Erza: What are your activities?
Arthur: I am in the infrastructure and maintenance department. That means I'm responsible for conversions, installations and repairs. Here I build new workplaces for the various departments of the KYBURZ company. I realise improvements in work processes and more pleasant working conditions for employees. Satisfied employees increase the quality of work and productivity. Repairs to buildings and machines are also part of my job.
Erza: What are your strengths?
Arthur: One of my strengths is probably my manual skills and also many years of experience. I am basically a positive person and can approach employees well. I try to solve the worries and problems of the individual people at their workplace, if possible. I also get a lot of support from René in this.
Erza: What motivates you?
Arthur: The success and progress of KYBURZ is important to me. That's what it's all about in the end. Good and secure jobs as well as motivated employees should contribute to this success.
My work is very varied and sometimes there are challenges from tasks that I have never done before. Be it hanging an eRod on the wall with the simplest of means, putting up a large plaster wall or building a complete battery lab. That's great!
Erza: What is your typical daily routine?
Arthur: I like to start early in the morning. I always write down my tasks on an A4 sheet. This fills up all the time. I see shortcomings at the individual locations, hear requests from employees and, above all, I always get many exciting requests from my contact person René Stoll. He really has a great imagination.
I assess the various jobs according to their priority, the location where I am at the moment, and plan how to proceed. If necessary, I order the necessary materials and then I get to work.
Erza: What do you like? What do you like less?
Arthur: I can work very independently and am always supported by René.
And the positive feedback from the staff is very nice.
Erza: What do you like to do in your free time?
Arthur: I like to spend time with my family. And we have a big garden, which also needs a lot of care.
Travelling has been mostly in my head for the last few years, reading Globetrotters magazine or other travelogues. About every 2 years we go on a city trip.
Erza: What are your plans for the future?
Arthur: I would like to continue working for KYBURZ for a few more years.
