A day in the life of Janik Fontana
Erza Mehmeti: How long have you been with KYBURZ?
Janik Fontana: I have been working at KYBURZ since March 2021.
Erza: How did you hear about us?
Janik: Through my father, Oliver Fontana, who works in purchasing.
Erza: What did you do before KYBURZ?
Janik: I completed my apprenticeship as a polymechanic.
Erza: What are your activities?
Janik: I work as a mechanic in the eRod team. My work actually involves everything around the eRod. Production, building seminars and service work.
Erza: What are your strengths?
Janik: I'm good at setting priorities and working precisely. I always try to do my best and have a positive impact on the work and the working environment.
Erza: What motivates you?
Janik: The varied work in the eRod workshop motivates me every day. I can learn a lot and also apply my previous knowledge.
Erza: What is your typical daily routine?
Janik: I briefly check my emails to see if there is any important information for the day. After that I start my work, which varies every day, as I said. At the moment I am most busy with service work and retrofitting.
Erza: What do you like? What do you like less?
Janik: I like the team and the special work very much. We have a very good atmosphere and cooperation in the team. What I like less is the sometimes poor communication between the different locations.
Erza: What do you like to do in your free time?
Janik: I really enjoy spending time with friends and family. Since I was 6 years old, I have been doing model aviation. Besides this hobby, I love to travel and am interested in everything to do with cars.
Erza: What are your plans for the future?
Janik: At the moment, I'm still working on a further degree (HF mechanical engineering). First and foremost, I would like to complete this successfully and then go on bigger trips with my Jeep.
