A day in the life of Salvatore Melillo
Erza Mehmeti: How long have you been with KYBURZ?
Salvatore Melillo: I have been with Kyburz for about 3 years.
Erza: How did you hear about us?
Salvatore: I became aware of the Kyburz company through Flurin.
Erza: What did you do before Kyburz?
Salvatore: I worked at Zurich Airport as a shift supervisor for 40 years before that.
Erza: What are your activities?
Salvatore: I work in the 2ndLife department. My main job is to dismantle the vehicles, which means dismantling accident vehicles and sorting out the parts that are no longer needed. I also dismantle vehicles and prepare the parts for the installation of second-hand vehicles.
Erza: What motivates you?
Salvatore: I am motivated by the young team, which is very humorous. I also like the cooperation and helpfulness in the team.
Erza: What is your typical daily routine?
Salvatore: I arrive at the company around 9:30 a.m. and start my work immediately, which means disassembling the vehicles or washing the vehicle parts. Once I have finished my work, I go home at about 5:30 pm.
Erza: What do you like? What not so much?
Salvatore: I like everything about my job, especially when I have difficulties, the team is very helpful.
Erza: What do you like to do in your free time?
Salvatore: In my free time I like to go jogging, cycling or play football.
Erza: What are your plans for the future?
Salvatore: I don't really have any plans for the future, I rather let it come to me. But I am happy to continue working for Kyburz.
