In 2017, Olivier Groux and Martin Kyburz laid the foundation stone and launched the development of the direct battery recycling process. With the in-house battery recycling plant LIBERTY, we have managed to recycle the batteries from KYBURZ vehicles locally, efficiently, and in an environmentally friendly way.

Martin Kyburz's early predictions about the demand for raw materials and recognition of future societal needs are proving their worth. The great public interest and the positive response to the work carried out motivates us not only to develop the process further, but also to make it available to third parties.

Today, we are networked with leading Swiss and European research organisations in the battery, mobility and waste management sectors. KYBURZ works with a talented and motivated team to make battery recycling more environmentally friendly, efficient and cost-effective.
